This is a very overatted and vague question. I think we all know why he was one of the most important figures of the movement, b/c he was only one of the few that had the courage to stand up for his rights and what he beleived in, which lead to a march/movement and he could deliver ONE HECK OF A SPEECH!!

#2. BARAK OBAMA!!

He was an important figure head because he was fighting for the right to have equal freedoms for blacks everywhere.

1.) He was a leader that stopped at nothing to achieve justice. He spoke powerfully and believed every word he said. His community and followers trusted him. He totally changed the way america was. He put an end to segregation, and was the most influential leader of the civil rights movement. H
2.) Look at how we live today, as equals. Black and White children are friends, lovers, family members, and class mates. Dr. Kings words and percervierence has paved the path for other people of the african american race to give themselves a stronger voice in government, jobs, and universities.

clearly, no one is gonna do your homework for you. but he was the one that made the famous “i have a dream” speech and he never gave up for what he thought was right.

He was in the right place, at the right time.
