Are you suffering from waking up during the night and cannot go back to sleep back? Are you tossing and turning in bed trying to sleep and forcing yourself to keep your eyes open without any result? Too much thinking? Your body is like a symphony orchestra. In the orchestra there are many instruments and the instrument sometimes needed to be fine tuned.
About 40 million people in the United States (about 2 percent of us) suffer from severe sleep disorders such as insomnia, narcolepsy, restless legs syndrome, and sleep apnea. Each of these interferes with your sleep. Each of these, therefore, interferes with your brain’s maintenance & upkeep operations. Each of these, therefore, can result in you doing the moral equivalent of driving drunk. They can leave you disoriented, unable to focus, and unable to make sound decisions about your life and responsibilities. If you suspect that you have a severe sleep disorder you should take immediate steps — including consulting with your doctor — to ensure that your brain is getting enough sleep each and every night. Failure to get enough sleep isn’t just inconvenient, it’s downright dangerous!
Sleep deprivation is, beyond question, dangerous. Tests have shown that if you’re sleep deprived you’ll perform tasks as poorly as someone who is intoxicated on alcohol. Unfortunately, complete teetotalers who wouldn’t dream of driving drunk sometimes drive so sleep deprived that they might as well be drunk. And if you do drink while you’re in a sleep-deprived condition, the problems only multiply
When it comes to sleep disorder treatment there are a number of different supplies this you can try. These methods can be broken down into: Sleep Disorder Treatment
- Sleep Routine
- Diet
- Activity
- Medication
For any of these methods to be proven successful as a sleep disorder treatment, education is required. You must understand the nature of your issue before you can treat it. Educating yourself is vital as you might discover that your sleep problem can be treated by simply changing your diet or by losing weight. In this article we will take each sleep disorder treatment that is listed above and provide more information.
When it comes to sleep disorder treatment, a sleep routine is one of the first treatment methods that you should try. You must understand that your body needs routine to function properly. You may need to re-educate your body and develop a routine so that your body knows that it is time to shut off and go to sleep. Some things that you should do include making sure that your bedroom is only for sleeping — so this means no television.
Imagine lying down, closing your eyes, and falling asleep. Imagine sleeping right through the night, and waking up feeling refreshed, and rejuvenated. Imagine getting to the end of your day and realizing that while you are ready for bed, you are not so tired that you are falling asleep on your feet. At work, your mind will be sharp, clear and fresh. Ideas will flow, and you will have the focus to follow through on them.
Relaxation hypnotherapy is a completely safe and natural solution to your sleep disorder. You will feel years younger as a result of the treatment, and everyone around you will notice the difference as your skin becomes clearer, your eyes brighter, and your smile more ready.
You should also avoid caffeine during the later part of the evening, and if you find you need a drink before bed, then opt for some hot milk or herbal tea. Avoid any activity that will stimulate your body just before retiring. You should aim to spend at least an hour before you go to bed relaxing. After a couple of weeks, this routine will start to stick and you should find yourself sleeping better.

Ask your doc for ambien…not the new CR, the old one..10mg….miracle drug!
Maybe you get quantity sleep, but not quality sleep….is it too hot or too cold…are you stressed?….have a crappy bed? It could be several things.
The problem is in your nutrition probably
why don’t you try NyQuil or lunesta?it could always help!
i would go have that sleep test done cuz some people dont actually get a whold lot of rest while they are sleeping, i know it sounds weird but my hubby jerks alot in his sleep and has actually punched me in the face, thats how bad he jerks around and the dr says hes not getting any rest while hes asleep cuz his muscles are doing that, and he had that sleep test run, you just have to stay overnight in the hosp, no biggie but it is actually possible that what your saying is true, cuz my hubby wakes up tired and always feels ill rested!!!
You could have something called sleep Apthnea.. it is treatible… I have it (along with some other problems) but I use a C-PAP machine which helps the sleeping a LOT…tell your doctor of your concerns and have him sigh you up for the sleep apthnea test–you will go to a room for the night–they will attach all kinds of wires to you to test your sleep patterns and make their decision based on their findings….THOUSANDS of people have sleep apthnea and with the c-pap machine, it is easily controlled–do NOT get yourself started on any kind of sleep medication until you have the sleep apthnea test and do NOT self prescribe sleeping aids for yourself….that can be very dangerous. GET THE TEST
